I have follow the instruction in Portableapps.com/development but when i launched the launcher a window open, it shown :-"IDMPortable\App\appinfo\launcher\IDMPortable.ini is missing [Launch:ProgramExecutable - what am I to launch?". I hope you can solve this problem....

when I started working on [illegal software site removed by mod JTH] catalog I found Free Download Manager a bit like Internet Download Manager.
Tip: You can download Free Download Manager and add a shortcut in PortableApps Suite (If possible).

PortableApps.com does not permit discussion of illegal software. The site you are mentioning packages many apps illegal and has been caught stealing our software (with the splash, copyright, license, source code, etc removed). Please refrain from discussing illegal software on PortableApps.com.
As a side note, Free Download Manager may be this week's new app. We'll know tomorrow.

Go to Get Apps at the top, in the internet section there are 2 to choose from, 3 if you use Firefox and include the DownloadThemAll extension. the links are below. Just a word of advice (you can take it or leave it as you wish), search is your friend. Don't be afraid to use it, ok?

The release of FDM makes me more hopeful of an official IDM.
I might take a crack at it myself.
As IDM is a commercial app, you'll need to get the publisher to work with us to put out an official version and then pay for it.

[Illegal software site] could be creating illegal software or they had permission.
P.S. I could e-mail them and ask them.
Update: This post was supposed to go under John T Hallers Comment to my Comment.

The site you mentioned has been caught red-handed distributing a bunch of our apps with our name, license, source code, splash screens, bookmarks, etc stripped off in violation of the GPL to make it seem like they developed it themselves. They are currently distributing apps like Firefox in violation of the Mozilla trademark guidelines, Google Chrome in violation of its End User License Agreement (it doesn't permit repackaging), and several other apps in violation of their licenses or trademark guidelines. You won't find the text "Mozilla®, Firefox® and the Firefox logo are registered trademarks of the Mozilla Foundation and are used under license." anywhere on their site, for example.
It's been reported in a few tech sites over the years so it is no secret. In those stories they've either lied about some actions they've taken or refused to answer questions about whether they have permission (because they didn't). They'll claim they've changed their ways and now get permission (or worse, that they have always gotten permission), but they still don't for the apps I have mentioned as well as several others. They do have permission from a handful of small publishers, likely because the publishers are unaware of their illegal activities.
They mostly get away with it because they're in another country (which made it prohibitive for us to pursue legal action when they stole our work) and their userbase is a fraction of ours, so many software publishers simply aren't aware of what they are doing. And that doesn't even touch on the fact that their software is closed source so you can't check it out, encrypts its configuration files so you can't tell if it's configured right, artificially ties its apps to its platform, and other little gotchas.
You're free to use it if you like. But we don't permit discussion of illegal software on this site, so please refrain from mentioning them again.

Thanks for mentioning it!
