ThunderbirdPortable addressbook in OpenOffice

Hi,

I want to write a letter to many people in my Thunderbird addressbook. I use Thunderbird Portable. When I call the Thunderbird addressbook with OO-Base it integrets the addressbook from a profil from the maschine where I actually work. I want OpenOffice to ask me where the addressbook is located I want to integred. It ist located on my portable hard drive.

If I try it on a computer without Thunderbird, OO say there isn't a Thunderbird addressbook. But it is on my hard drive.

Thanks for your help.

It can't automatically, but...

OpenOffice.org will only use a locally-installer Thunderbird address book, I believe. So you can't do it automatically. But, what you could do is export the addresses you want to use from Thunderbird. Just select em all then click Tools - Export. Be sure and export them to a CSV file. Then, you should be able to use them in OpenOffice without issue. You may need to manually pick which columns are which and things of that nature, of course.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
