Moving Thunderbird from XP to 7
just do not place the new folder into program files as this will not work properly under w7.
Also some extensions could need reinstall or update after the move if the path did change.

OK
where should I place the folder in windows 7 please? Also if I just intalled it to my sick would it work that way on windows 7?
Bill
Most apps will work independently of where you put them, but I'd suggest keeping the same path (so, if they're currently on C:\PortableApps, keep it that way). And yes, you can also copy them to a flash drive but, depending on the speed of the drive, some apps may become very slow.

I will just create the above folder and put it there,if I use my usb stick all my email accounts will still be there? As in installing thunderbird portable keeps all is data in the programs folder, yes??I mean it does not put a folder in username/documents and setting?
