It would be nice if Stellarium would preserve the (separately downloadable) extra star catalogue files located in App/Stellarium/stars/default. Their names are:
stars_4_2v1_0.cat
stars_5_2v0_0.cat
stars_6_2v0_0.cat
stars_7_2v0_0.cat
I think those files dont get updated a lot so a DirectoriesToPreserve would be enough.

This is fixed in Stellarium Portable 0.12.2.

Thanks for caching that, John. I forgot to check the bug list when doing the updates.
I copy all the bugs as they show up to TODO and check lists for each app release to double-check as each new release goes out.
