The game commences in prehistory and your mission is to lead your tribe from the stone age to the space age. This release updates FreeCiv to the latest version. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Avast detected a suspicious file in this download.

As of todays Avast update,
Avast does't block the Freeciv update.
Don't understand why it took so long though.

or, to put it another way, the more people that report a detection as a false positive, the sooner the AV company check the file themselves to see why it is being detected and fix the problem.

Next time it would help if you took the time to report something like this as a false positive. I think you can also go into Avast's Virus Chest and report from there (as well as restore the file which *might* get Avast to let you install/run the program?)
