Thanks!
Thanks for your work on this mwayne! You're now listed as a developer/app packager on our team page and have a shiny new dev icon next to your name when posting. Welcome to the team!
By the way, did you want to use your full name on the team page?
You're welcome!
Thanks for releasing Q-DirPortable so quick and invite me to your team. It's a real honor to be part of your team.
You can add my full name to the team page.
Woohoo!
Another app I use regularly is official! I think the only one I'm waiting on now is TortoiseHg.
Thanks for the hard work, mwayne. Welcome to the team!
Splash not updated?
Updated via platform. When run the Development Test Release splash screen displays
Remove It
You can just remove it. Freeware releases don't have splashes. It is leftover because I set it to preserve the app directory so data loss doesn't occur on an upgrade following a crash.
Installer do it?
Just wondering if it is possible for the installer to have the following coded:
if old = dev test and new = freeware delete splash file
It Can
It can. But it's not strictly necessary. We don't guarantee upgrades from dev tests to stable. I'm going to add it in the next release anyway.
I already sent you the new

32 vs 64 bit
Will Q-Dir Portable use both 32 bit and 64 bit?
32
The current build is 32-bit only. I was unaware there was a 64-bit build when I published it. I've added a note to add the 64-bit build in the next release.
Thanks
Thanks you for the quick response.
This is a great app. Before it was offered by PA I was including both (32/64) on my USB stick. The developer is constantly providing updates/improvements.
Great addition to PA.com.
32 vs 64
I knew there is a 64-bit version but I didn't want to mess up Q-Dir. The problem I saw with including the 64-bit only Q-Dir.exe was that you have to either create folders or rename it. Create a folder messes up with the launcher if you want to use the same data for 32-/64-bit.
Rename one Q-Dir.exe would be the best solution but I see rename as modifying.
Am I still building the updates or did you take it over because I'd love to keep contributing.
P.S. Should I ask Nenand to host it?
64
If you rename Q-dir.exe to Q-Dir64.exe for the 64-bit version, does it still work normally? If so, we can just do that. The launcher can pick between them based on the OS. I can show you how to configure that.
You can keep updating it and email it to me via the developers address for now. We're working on a better staging system.
Nenand can host it if he'd like or we can. We work any way the publisher likes. Some like it for us to build it and they host it (LibreOffice), some like it for them to build it and they host it (TeamViewer), some like to build and host it but have us host it for our own users due to bandwidth (HWiNFO).
Welcome
Great to see another new dev around.
Don't worry, for the move from beta to official John makes the necessary changes himself because it is just easier that way, but you are still in charge of keeping Q-Dir updated going forward.
A few things to hopefully help you out:
Otherwise to borrow a bad phrase from Spotify: happy apping.
This is a great program!
Now I don't need to have 7+ instances of Explorer on my computer running!
