GnuCash 2.6.1 (current PA version) has date bugs.
*These are non-trivial*
GnuCash 2.6.2 has been released at
http://www.gnucash.org/
in part to fix these problems (see the release notes) and I have been forced / chose to use that instead of the PA version for my finances to make sense. I am OK as I use both as an occasional developer / tester.
Request: could the PA / GnuCash maintainer treat this as a "more than normal" update on behalf of others that aren't used to switching between standard and portable.
Because I have had to borrow and steal between my two installations this time around I should be able to add a bit to the PA docs once this is sorted out.
I have not contacted Shawn Faucher directly as I am unsure of protocol

Always over here: https://portableapps.com/development/outdated
Link is in the Development section
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Thanks, John. I am a user of PA so need inside links as and when.
In my defense I searched all the GnuCash links I could find before going general. I didn't know to look there and it didn't show up in a search. Why didn't it show up in a search re GnuCash?
I will correspond once 2.6.2 is available as I may be able to bring other experience to the party.
Unless App -> PA is meant to only be one way![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)

It wouldn't show up under search, it's the location to report outdated apps. And to show which apps are in progress on by whom. That way we don't have thousands of 'X is out of date' posts in the forums. You can find it in the future by clicking into the Development section.
GnuCash is my responsibility and I will get to it when I can.

I hear your "GnuCash is my responsibility and I will get to it..." but I very much doubt there is a more time specific PA at present.
Unless you like your money to go and come in the wrong order and unexpectedly because someone didn't do something.
As I said earlier, it was easy for me to fall back to the standard rather tha PA version. I can assure someone has got the bank in and outs wrong by now.
