PortableApps does a good job with updating their portable versions to the latest available but sometimes things fall through the cracks.
For example, when I run CintaNotes, FileZilla, and FreeFileSync, they are all telling me that there are new versions available currently and that I should download these.
I was wondering if there was an effective and polite way to let the people at PortableApps.com know that there is a new version of a software available as I am sure it's difficult for them to keep an eye out for all updates available to dozens of individual programs.
Hello invenio!
You can use Outdated Official Portable Applications topic.
I did see that, but I didn't know how often that was checked. Do the admins simply delete the comment after it's updated? If that is the best way, then I guess I will try to do that. I didn't know if they had an email address specifically for this or some other form of communication.

The outdated apps tracker is always checked and updated. Has been for years. You can find the link in the Development section. It hadn't been updated since Friday as I'd been replacing some failing hard drives in our primary dev/build box. Now that that's done, the remaining apps should see updates today (they have).
It's not just dozens, it's hundreds of apps. Some provide proper update notices via RSS. Some via Twitter. Some don't at all. It's the latter ones that we need to have our community assist with notifying us. As a general rule, between 99 and 100% of our apps are up to date at any given time. It's usually only when we have another issue (hardware upgrade in this case) that it falls below 99%.
One other note: FreeFileSync is on that page listed as having a bug in the base app preventing release. Version 6.3 of the app has a bug preventing it from being launched by another EXE. So, the portable package doesn't work. You can't even launch the standard version from the PortableApps.com Platform. https://sourceforge.net/p/freefilesync/discussion/open-discussion/thread...
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
From what I recall in previous posts, those that are assigned new apps, the ones they portabilized, get notifications when there are new versions. So they know, but it takes time to do the changes and testing of the new versions.
Don't be an uberPr∅. They are stinky.
