KeePass: Plugins?

Hi,

Just recently started to use KeePass Portable and I can't seem to be able to install any of the programs plugins.

Do the plugins work at all on the portable version of KeePass?

Thanks

Hi again, I put the plugin

Hi again,

I put the plugin .dll file into the main keepass portable directory, and then went to tools/plugins in keepass portable and nothing shows up. Anything else I need to do?

KeePass Directory

It goes in the main KeePass directory, which is KeePassPortable\App\keepass, not in the KeePassPortable directory itself. That should do it.

yes,

should be obvious when carefully reading the posted help link (which is essential for newcomers to keepass local and portable, anyway)..
But I should entend my explanation to more than one or two sentences, I apologize. And will do better Wink Smile

Hard to find that info

Well, I tried to read carefully all the text in right place, but I find that info only from forums. Are meaning the general info for plugins in
http://keepass.info/help/v1/plugins.html ?

At first I tried to install where I found the file KeePassPortable.exe.

I would like that ALL files and folders including plugin dirs are told in PortableApps\KeePassPortable\Other\Source\Readme.txt.

For me the natural place for plugins would be in
PortableApps\KeePassPortable\Other\Plugins

And place for plugins should be told in page.

That's where I put this one, but...

the plugin I'm trying to use still isn't loaded by KeePass 1.18. (Sorry to dredge up an old topic, but it's the most relevant one I could find.)

I'm trying to implement KPEntryTemplates.plgx -- from the KeePass website plugins page. There's no mention of version compatibility (1.x vs. 2.0) so I assumed I could use it.

I've seen other forum posts referring to .dll files for KeePass plugins, so am wondering if plgx is for version 2.0. The plugin "installation" procedures are identical for both versions, but there is no mention of file types.

Why won't this one load? Is anyone even using it?

EDIT: Never mind! As usual, I couldn't find an answer before posting my question, and as usual have found it immediately after posting. I stumbled on a different way in to the plugins, this time seeing a list instead of the download page. There, I noticed icons indicating version compatibility. This plugin is indeed for 2.0, not 1.x, so I won't be using it after all.

Cheers!

Feature request

can you please just create an empty "plugins"-directory in the correct place?

So users dont have to wonder and read and search and try and post how to install plugins.
The information refers to the standard version so users cannot know wich portable directory is the correct one.

Base App

KeePass doesn't use a plugins directory. You have to copy plugins to the keepass.exe folder (aka KeePassPortable\App\KeePass).
