The PortApps version of FreeFileSync is version 6.2 although 6.8 is availabele. Why is it like that? May be because the newer versions do not work properly / do not start since (like it is with me) they cause an error with some xml file?

Bug in FreeFileSync

There's a bug in FreeFileSync that hasn't been fixed: https://portableapps.com/development/outdated

Thank you, Gord, Obviously

Thank you, Gord,

Obviously the error I mentioned. Strange that it is still not fixed.

Many thanks again.

Is it safe to update the app when the program prompt with that option? It is now at 11.13

Unfortunately not

If it was safe to update we would offer the most recent version here.

There is an age-old bug where FFS will not run when called by another process, which still has not been resolved by the developers of FFS.
