I have 2 "installations" of Thunderbird Portable on two different drives - one for private & work and another for å club I'm running, all in all 17 different accounts. I would like to keep them separate, i.e. not having all of them in one instance of PTB, but when I have one instance open and try to start another, I get the message:
"Another instance of Thunderbird is already running. Please clos other instances of Thunderbird before launching Thunderbird Portable."
Is there any way to circumvent this?
Thankful for suggestions.

For firefox, there is a special ini included to allow several instances but its ONLY to be used if you know what you're doing. For TB there is tha same ini in
I would recommend to use two copies.

I am sorry, Simeon, but I did not understand your reply - could you (or anybody else) please elaborate?
Imagine that FFP is at U:\FirefoxPortable\
