Every time I update the portable apps software it totolly erases, resets my Opera web browser? WHY? This happened 2 or 3 times now and it is very annoying having to reinstall everything. Portable apps used to be great software. But lately I have noticed it going down hill. Maybe it's time for a change.

It's due to some bugginess in the Opera browser we're still working around. Opera is a bad candidate for portability as its "portable" package isn't (loses passwords, etc).
The next release of Opera Portable will have a catch to alert you when it duplicates its profile and causes a collision. Somehow, Opera is locking its own profile in oddball ways. If we can't solve it, we'll just alert the user when it happens (profile in both App and Data at the same time) and let them sort it out.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
