I'm the developer of Snappy Driver Installer.
Snappy Driver Installer is meant to be portable. It doesn't require installation. It doesn't change anything in the registry and doesn't leave any traces in the system.
If you have any questions, go ahead and ask away.
I know it portable and won't leave records in registry (and check it in hyper-v winxp). It just integration in PAF launcher.
In future i will make small-usbdrive version (download driverpacks only to user's global temp folder and erase it after program's closing)
Why you don't want to let users(especially PC technicians) keep driverpacks between sessions so that they don't have to download them over and over again when they're using it on multiple PCs. Also the Internet may be unavailable due to missing drivers.
This edition differs from the original distribution only by the parameters start (Configuration and driverpacks located in DATA) and when running the downloaded an updated application freshly renamed (the old application is removed, everything else is saved).
The version for the small size of flash drives I do in addition to the already existing (not instead of). I still have not decided whether this version delete downloaded after installation.
