24 Hours

I'm unsure what you're referring to as Chrome is usually updated within 24 hours of Google's announced release on their blog. There was a week that it took 3 days to update due to an illness recently but that's about it.

Recent Releases

I don't recall it ever being a full week though it is possible. This current Dev release was within 24 hours. The current Beta and Stable were released at the same time as the Dev 48 hours after their respective releases awaiting a minor change to the builder. The release before that was Dev released within 24 hours on the 19th. Before that was Beta and Stable both released on the 13th within 24 hours of their official release. Before that was Beta and Dev released on the 7th within 24 hours. Before that was the Stable release on the 4th that took multiple days due to illness (it looks like it was 4 or 5, not the 3 I thought). Before that was the Beta and Dev on Sep 28th within 24 hours. So, of the latest releases, 70% were within 24 hours, 20% were within 48 hours, and 1 (10%) was the 4-5 days due to the illness I'd mentioned.

So, yes, it's generally within 24 hours but will occasionally take longer due to additional factors (release load, illness, awaiting a change to the launcher or installer, etc). It can't be fully automated as I have to double check that it's functional and not tripping false positive detections. I'm doing this for free, so I can't guarantee I'll always hit the 24 hour window. If we switched it to a paid platform, I could.

Literally Less Than 24 Hours

Google Chrome Stable 54.0.2480.87 was released yesterday afternoon. It was built last night for mirroring to download servers. It was just pushed out to users now. Less than 24 hours.

Google Chrome Beta 56.0.2906.0 was released last night. It was built last night for mirroring to download servers. It was just pushed out to users now. Less than 24 hours.

What was the reason for your post?

hi

hi

What was the reason for your post?

please don't be angry , i guess I was misunderstood
maybe during the summer , there have been delays
i just remember that i have waited for almost 1 week or more , in the past (this summer)
i just asked at the beginning about this delay the reason 1)is too hard to create a portable version updated 2) some update are skipped because they don't include new important feature and securiry

in short , again I was misunderstood

A good way to not be

A good way to not be misunderstood again might be to look at the Outdated Apps Post. If an app update is not listed there, you could just give a heads up.

Possible

While I don't recall that happening, of course, it's possible. My point was that if it has happened before, it's very rare, as evidenced by the above release track I provided. If you ever see an app out of date, please let us know in the outdated app thread: https://portableapps.com/development/outdated

You can find that thread in the future via both the Development and Support pages. It's also linked to the message at the top of the page when you create a new post.
