Upgrade/Update Portable Apps under Portable Apps Menu?

}:) Let me start by stating that I have searched the entire forums site for the answer to my question before posting it here...

I really love the PAM launcher, but wondered now that there are at least two applications as of this date (ClamWin and Audacity) that have 'updates'...

Pardon How should I go about updating/upgrading the applications? Should I just run the decompression application and overwrite all files that I want overwritten? Or should I run the decompression application from the PAM itself?

Thanks for the assist. Smile

Updates

If the apps have a paf.exe ending, they support so called "in-place-updates".
This means that you can install the update with the Menu right ontop of the existing one and let it overwrite all files. None of your personal data will be overwritten, changed or damaged.
Hope this answer is not too short.

Use the menu

And select to install. It'll take care of everything for you. All the apps released by PortableApps.com work like this.

Thanks

Wasn't sure which way to go since I didn't see anything under the forums or the menu download page itself.
