Greetings all,
I'm looking at beginning to use my phone as my EDC storage device with all of my portable apps.
However, I've found that some portable apps don't seem to work from the phone. I've also found that I can't use the PortableApps installer to install portable apps on the sd card or storage of my phone.
I think this is because when I connect my Galaxy S8+ to the computer through USB it doesn't get assigned a drive letter. It pops up with an MP3 player icon (MTP I think)
Does anyone know anything about this?
You can't run portable software via MTP. You can only run single-exe apps that don't need any additional files and they won't be able to save their settings back to the device.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Okay, sadly, that's what I figured would be the case.
Do you know if there is any work around? A way to get the phone to connect to the computer with a drive letter?
Instal webdav server on your phone, then mount it as a network drive on your windows computer.
