Hi,
From: https://portableapps.com/apps/development/xampp
"XAMPP isn't in PortableApps.com Format, but it easily integrates with the PortableApps.com Menu by using the XAMPP Launcher (linked above) and installing XAMPP in the root directory of your portable device or the appropriate subdirectory within XAMPP launcher. You can open the zip/7z archive of the portable version with 7-Zip Portable."
Ok root directory is obvious, but please what does " or the appropriate subdirectory within XAMPP launcher" actually mean?
Where would that be please?
Straight into PortableApps\XAMPP or where in?...
PortableApps\XAMPP

Do you create a new directory undrer PortableApps\XAMPP or unzip into an existing one?
Thanks,
Paul
It's XAMPP\App\xampp. There used to be multiple versions of XAMPP with different paths. That's the only one now, though it's recommended to put it in the root. I updated the page to indicate this.

Thanks John,
much appreciated.
Just one other thing please.
I have a legacy Xampp in root which I occasionally need to use.
So I have PortableApps\XAMPP\App\xampp unzipped and in place.
Is there an ini file setting that can tell PortableApps\XAMPP\XAMPPLauncher.exe
to look at
x:\PortableApps\XAMPP\App\xampp
and not at
x:\xampp
Or another method at all please?
There is no configuration. It's either or. And the root is found first. You could rename them back and forth and keep both in the root if you'd like.
