Hi!
Found a problem that Filezilla does not terminate its parent process and it hangs until I restart the PC or until I manually kill the process. When FileZilla starts, it creates a new process and works with it. It does not kill other processes.

It's working here without issue on the current Windows 10 x64 build when run from my desktop. I opened it, connected to a site, transferred a file, then exited. Worked as expected. Do you have a set of steps to reproduce your issue?

Unfortunately, I do not have a template for a set of steps, since this does not happen immediately, but after a while of the computer's operation. I do not turn off the computer, but send it to hibernation.
Are you using the latest release?

Updated to version 3.55.1 today
I would like to report that the issue also occurs to me. It happened in previous version and it happens in the latest one as well. From what I have noticed it happens randomly. It is not triggered by any particular ftp server connection as I use a number of FTP servers and the issue occurs anyway.
Had similar problem. I think I solved it by deleting everything inside "Setting name="Tab data" sensitive="1">" in FileZillaPortable\Data\settings\filezilla.xml
I just tried it but unfortunately it didn't help in my case.
Every time I use Portable Filezilla it now fails to terminate properly when closed. I have to end the process using Process Explorer. Next time Filezilla is started it complains about improper shut-down and closes itself. This is on Windows 10, 64 bit 21H1.
same problem... what to do?
If FileZilla itself isn't closing for some reason, that's not something we can control.

I have the same problem here...
The PortableApps software reminds me every day, that it cannot be closed because of the background process of Filezilla! Without killing the process in the task manager I cannot close the PortableApps Software! I'm using portable Apps for years now, but this never happens to any kind of software! It's really annoying...
As mentioned above, you'll need to contact the publisher of FileZilla if the app isn't closing for you. You could also disable the 'close apps on exit' feature within the PortableApps.com Platform if you'd like.

I think it has something to do with the 32bit version of FZ... but Im not really sure. But..., a few month ago everything works fine.
