On my pc i there is a reference to the portable app menu, even after the drive has been removed for the computer
->Right click on start
->hit propterites
->hit taskbar
->hit customize
->in that list, you should see the portable app menu

I'v checked on multiple computers, it always appears under past items, but it's definitially not an issue for me at all.
Those aren't actually files. Just an entry. It doesn't show up on any of my computers, though.
