PAF updater is really great for updating all Portable Apps Format one is using ... (I just love it ... Firefox, Thunderbird, LibreOffice, and many other apps, I just use them in PAF ... )
Why not make PAF updater work for of all the apps installed, even those installed on C as non portable apps ?
At least provide a list of all the apps NOT IN PAF installation one has to update ?
Then,
a) Windows system would be updated as everyone knows,
b) PAF apps ... the easiest way to update apps (and thank you really really, but really much for it)
c) Common apps (usually installed on C:) are often updated when you use them again.
I would love to be able to update the apps installed "ordinary" before I have to use them again ...
Good reading ... and writing !

Ordinary apps (on PC) UPDATE ... and PAF updater
there exist programs which claim to update anything, but those are often just malware transporters.
Think about it for a while. How should some software find out that certain programs need to be updated? Should it search in the folders where parts of the program and should it also search in system files for all possibly changing dependencies like .dll etc.? How should it know, which version of .dll particular program needs? Should it search for a contact of the publisher of the program and ask there if there is some new version? How will it find out how to ask there?
And in case it will discover that something needs to be updated, how should it do it? Write simply to c: drive what ever it wants? Even overwrite system files needed?
I doubt this can be done, as such software would need to have catalog of all possible programs worldwide, in all versions and languages.
Kind of complex I think.
