Run 64 bit version

I have installed many apps such as Thunderbird, FreeCommander XE, Krita, Notepad++ etc. However, when I run these apps the 32 bit version gets executed. This does not happen for other apps like Firefox, KeePass to name a few.

How do I run the 64 bit versions of the apps?

My OS is Windows 11, 22H2 version.

The 32 bit version of an app

The 32 bit version of an app will run on all systems where the 64 bit version will only run on 64 bit systems, and our software is still often enough used on 32 bit systems.

We only bundle the 64 bit version where there is a performance or feature difference. Otherwise you won't see a difference from the 32 bit version of the other apps.

Run 64 bit version

In most cases there may not be a difference in performance. However, in the case of Krita, the 32 bit version is 4.4.3 whereas the latest version, which is only 64 bit, is 5.1.3. Hence when the 32 bit version gets executed one is essentially running a much older version. This may be true of other programs also. I noticed it only for Krita. That's the reason I would like to know how how to run the 64 bit version by default. My OS is 64 bit Windows 11.

When running it on a 64 bit

When running it on a 64 bit Windows 11, it should use the 64 bit version (5.1.1 atm unti it is updated to 5.1.3 - refer to outdated apps). Otherwise it is a bug. Or something on your system needs to be adjusted.
I just checked on a Win10 64 bit machine and it launches 5.1.1-
