After discovering, downloading, and using portable Firefox for a few days, I've discovered an anomaly!!
Using the installed version, whenever I clicked a link external to Firefox (Windows 10 Mail, etc.), it opened in a new Firefox tab.
With the portable version, clicking the link now brings up a new instance of Firefox!
I've made sure all the Tab settings are checked and Firefox is my Default browser!
Any helo would be appreciated!

If you run Firefox Portable and tell it to set itself as the default, it will set the copy of Firefox inside Firefox Portable as the default, not Firefox Portable. It will then run in local mode using a local profile/settings. You need to use a third party utility to register FirefoxPortable.exe as your default browser.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

The script brought up Windows Settings/Apps/Default Apps and had to choose Firefox Portable as the default browser!
