I wonder if you can help? I run Firefox portable 88.0.1 on Win 7.
My path to Firefox is,
D:\firefox 74\FirefoxPortable\FirefoxPortable.exe
Occasionaly, a programme or site will open a new Window, but instead of using the above path, it start Firefox from
D:\firefox 74\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox64\firefox.exe.
This causes me problems as I like my Windows to open with my installed extensions, such as Noscript and Ublock, but the Window that starts from D:\firefox 74\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox64\firefox.exe, is a clean window without my extensions.
Is there a way round this?
I hope the above makes some sort of sense.
Thanks.
If you have Firefox set as your default from within Firefox or the Windows control panel, it will run firefox.exe directly instead of FirefoxPortable.exe. You need to use a third party utility to manually add FirefoxPortable.exe as a supported browser and set that as the default.
Please note that Firefox 88.0.1 is unsupported and insecure with multiple remote code exploits.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Thanks, any idea of a third party app I can use?
