Is there a reason that the update hasn't been pushed through the PA platform auto-update system? I prefer to let the system maintain itself as much as possible, but it's been a bit longer than normal, getting "alerts" that there's an update, from firefox, but not getting the update through the menu system.
that's propably the account of portable apps.com on sourceforge, right?
then safe!
--EDIT--
just saw it's not from john!
would be better if it would be brought by john...
help were i can. maybe you can help me too. threads in account/track.
if you don't want to help don't post crap!
In addition to what ANTICHRISTUS REX wrote - if you check the two "hosts" of the project, critternyc and markomlm, you'll at least recognize John. Marko ist not active anymore but was former developer and main translator for the german section.
Are the files exactly the same? Is the mirroring process automated? Is there a manual review process? Any reason we shouldn't use the files on SourceForge?
Please note that apps are not 'released' until announced on our homepage, RSS feed, and via platform update. Apps mirroring on our download servers may be modified or replaced before being announced.

just thinking if adding a link to sourceforge on site (blog or forum) or at least on the outdated apps post for shrinking the mirroring time. i mean if it's quicker available there.

Updates are not considered officially released until they are announced here on the site.
Even if an update exists on SourceForge it may be replaced or removed completely before the announcement. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
Please don't recommend anybody to shortcut the process, as you may be recommending them to install an update with bugs we don't know about yet that could result in apps that don't work, or even worse, data loss.
sorry, understood some guru user meant it's only mirroring/server delay and allready ready.
if so, you are naturaly right!
EDIT
for searching for an older version it should be ok then.
some searched older one and got it as answer from someone.

Is there an alternate source for Firefox Portable Legacy 115.18 ?
It has been mirroring for many days now after John built it. Thanks.
--EDIT--
I think I found it.

Refer to the outdated apps thread. It's still on "mirroring". Sometimes real life issues prevent the things from moving forward.
Guess I shouldn't be bitching, since... it's free, and isn't selling my data to the highest bidder
Is the version at SourceForge safe to use? Or should I wait for PortableApps to announce it?

Official and safe! Otherwise I would have added a comment, like 'unofficial', etc.

1. Same.
2. Files are added to Sourceforge manually by the admin(s).
3. yes.
