click the close "x" button on an app ---> send app to system tray

Is there any utility to do this?

click the close "x" button on an app ---> send app to system tray

Can AutoHotKey maybe do this?

I want to do this with VLC.

For some reason I have a terrible habit of clicking on the close "x" button with the intention of sending it to the system tray.

Let me know, thanks.

  • NoClose: Unofficial download. Tested brievely, may have an unexpected behaviour (Contextual Menu of my Chromium's menu bar has changed to the default Windows' one. I had to close Chromium to reset it).

Recommend Against

I'd recommend against it. When "minimized" to the tray, the window for the app is hidden and the PA.c Platform won't be able to automatically close the app.
