Is there any utility to do this?

Can AutoHotKey maybe do this?

I want to do this with VLC.

For some reason I have a terrible habit of clicking on the close "x" button with the intention of sending it to the system tray.

NoClose: Unofficial download. Tested brievely, may have an unexpected behaviour (Contextual Menu of my Chromium's menu bar has changed to the default Windows' one. I had to close Chromium to reset it).
