Would it be possible to port a VNC application like RealVNC? If not the server then the viewer would be just as good. Smile

TightVNC has better compression in my opinion, and both the server and viewer are portable Smile

Depends on your definition

Depends on your definition of "poretable", I guess... I'm all for TightVNC, but it seems as if it actually uses the registry to store settings, which means 1) that your settings will not be portable, and 2) that the system you use it on will get junk in its registry.

After some research:

TightVNC free viewer: Uses registry to store settings.
ChrisControl: Uses registry to store settings.
GenControl: Doesn't seem to want to connect to existing VNC sessions, which makes it unusable to me.

Research was done by use of Regmon.

Personally, I'm still looking. I will not consider any application that uses the registry as truly "portable", for the aforementioned reasons.
