I've just tried Clamwin scanning main hard drive. I didn't expect to find anything and have AVG installed. I have spyware which i run on a manual basis. Haven't had a virus for 5 yrs but i only use webmail (as opposed to email client) to rule out the main risk of catching a virus (IMHO).
Well this is what it found.
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWEBSEARCH\BAR\1.BIN\MWSOEMON.EXE:
I don't know if this is spyware that wasn't detected or a virus.
Grateful for feedback.
Google is your friend......
MWSOEMON.EXE is not a trojan or virus, it is considered spyware because it "may" report usage information back to MyWebSearch.
You must have at some point installed their WebSearchBar.
For those who have fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.

I think i did at one stage but then got rid of it. Dropped IE in favout of FireFox portable. I wondered? - i didn't think it was a trojan or virus but wondered if it was a cookie. But how good is ClamWin - it found it when it was overlooked by AVG (but perhaps that's not saying much.
