Is it Illegal? Downloads been taken down... it gets deleted when no1 downloads it - might upload it later.

And I'm a big suporter of microsft - they may cost money - but there the best things out there! Macs are crap and portable apps don't even work on them let alone the latest century of office... I am getting dual boot linux on my computer but It's mainly for developing and high-performace tasks

You can only make launchers of freewre w/o permission, but with open source apps you can make an actual portable verison w/o perm
You could have made a launcher for MS Office 29007, but I don;t it would work 100% due to Ms Office's immense use of the registry.

Please... don't spam the same comment over again... I am of course referring to the "As all of ya should know Microsoft is the Evil Empire..." portion of both your posts in this topic. If people aren't swayed by seeing it once then seeing it a second time sure isn't going to make a difference. In fact if anything it will just piss them off and turn them AGAINST your point of view. I personally am a windows user because I simply need something that will get the job done quickly and (relatively) cheaply. I have used linux, but I don't have the time to configure every single aspect of it to my liking, or even to get it working with some of my hardware. I have also used apples, but I prefer not to send my computer and a big fat cheque to Steve Jobs every time I want to change an icon. And by the way, if Microsoft is an evil empire, what exactly DO you call apple? Buy one of their machines and you're pretty much forced to buy exclusively their hardware for the life of the machine!

I think the issue is that your signature is much longer than others and there's no indication that makes it look like a sig. So it looks to most normal users that you're posting some anti-MS diatribe over and over and over. I'd suggest adding a divider. Two dashes is traditional. And removing the "Winblows" reference as it's a surefire way to make anyone ignore what you're saying. Also, a gentle reminder that you shouldn't just paste URLs into signatures. It should be a link. Something like "My homepage".
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I hate macs even those G5 things I have windows vista ultimate it's amazing!
And there are places to download vista trials - then people looking for free vista crack them. No-one gets fooled by the "get genuine free" stuff. You could pay $500 to get genuine or you could just download a crack. Only idiots get viruses. Since I had vista I never got a virus.
My office definetly works, it's just an exe file you cut and paste around.

What do you mean by a launcher??? I don't have a "launcher", just the final release of it sorry...
As he started the first post "I have found a portable Microsoft office on the web".
This means:
- It`s possible that he owns a legal license for mircosoft office 2007. But it`s not very realistic but nvm.
- He found the portable version on some warez site.
- He did not script/programm anything hisself.
- Just posted the downloadlink from the warez site here or made a mirror.
- The download content may include a virus from the warez website.
But most people here think:
- He owns a legal license for microsoft office 2007 and he wants to use it portable.
- He scripted/programmed a launcher itself and thought it would be cool to let other people profit from it.
- He uploaded his hole version he microsoft office 2007 but he forgot that other people might download it who did not pay a expensive license like him.
- His only mistake was to upload the hole folder instant of just the launcher.
He don`t know:
- That this forum is to post your OWN creations for portable software. If you want to discuss ready to use portable software them will be posted in general discussing with the hint that you just found it and are not responsible for any damage, virus and so on.
- What a launcher is......
My own little explaintion... A launcher is a little programm, mostly created with nsis scripting installer system (open source). The launcher will start a non portable app and keep care of all local files and settings in other directorys other then the programm folder. After the programm is shut down he will delete all settings from registery to a local file and so on. If you want to know more read the development pages and the development forums at this page.

It`s not allowed to post instructions here how to get warez. But ask your friends or search engines where them download their warez. You will find really huge community where you can download almost everything, there will be some hacked "portable" versions as well too.
The myth that warez = always virus is simply false. People who prefer to buy a legal license started this running gag. Warez is dangerous as precompiled open software aswell too. A non programming interested user hardly gets any advantage if he use open source software instant of closed source if he just download and use the ready to use precompiled version, there would be still a good place to put malware inside.
Open source developers do something without much big own profit for free in price. Warez uploader bought the software itself or stolen it from somewhere self and wanted to give the community a favor. Maybe the open source hype is not that big right now to become a target for malware spreaders or the philosophic is better in general. But in general this doesn`t mean automatically that there are more viruses in warez compared to precompiled open source software.
