I am having this odd problem.
I like to configure all my portable apps on my harddrive for the speed, then just drag and drop the files onto the thumb drive.
At first I thought I had done something wrong, but every time I install addons and move it, I start up firefox the first time and it won't start up at all. The proccess is running, but no even the splash screen shows up.
And then I close that, pull the drive out and plug it back in, and it starts up fine, but all the addons are gone.
Anyone having this problem?

I have had a similar type of problem, although in the end everything worked. One extension that has given me trouble is Minimize to Tray. I think (and believe it makes sense, for what my belief is worth) that there is something put in a Windows directory (a DLL?) that allows this extension to work and that it fails when the file is missing. Would it be possible (I'll also write to the extension author) to have a check done when Fx starts? This would install the file on other computers, rather against the premise of FFP, but I love the extension.
More generally, is there a list of extensions that conflict with FFP? Should we start a thread here about that?

Minimize to Tray is know to be not very compatible with FFP.

There's no list since there are thousands of extensions. Any extension that puts random DLLs outside the Firefox directory isn't a true extension anyway. It's an app that lives outside Firefox that happens to have an extension that links to it. And it really should warn you of that fact.
