YPops Portable or add YPOPs to Thunderbird Portable

YPOPs is an open source software that is a pop/smtp gateway to get yahoo messages on popular Email clients like outlook express, thunderbird, incredimail.

http://ypopsemail.com/

or why can't u add YPOPs to Thunderbird Portable so that Thunderbird Portable users can download yahoo emails on their usb drive

we need YPOPS cause Yahoo

we need YPOPS cause Yahoo forces users to pay in order to use Yahoo POP Servers.

YPOPs does not violate the Yahoo TOS cause it's a gateway which gets messages without hacking Yahoo POP Servers. It gets it through a browser like system.

Thunderbird Portable really needs YPOPs for users that wanna backup their Yahoo mail or download it

Same thing

I'm almost positive that the webmail extension does exactly the same thing as ypops. But it already works with Thunderbird Portable without any extra hacking.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Alternatively

Alternatively you can use freepops (http://www.freepops.org). It does the same thing but supports a large group of http services if you do not use Thunderbird. It's also portable. Not install needed, etc etc.

It works extremely well with MOST pop3 email clients. I use it with TheBat! Voyager and the portable versions of Pocomail and Barca.

I can't get any of these to work with my mom's yahoo account...

the webmail extension along with the yahoo extension will say it's downloading messages 1-99, but then it keeps timing out. This is on different computers with all firewalls and other obstructions disabled, any ideas? I'm thinking of just paying the $20 for the year to do it normally.
