Is it possible to edit an existing EXE file?(without source code). I have already tried Universal extractor and it did not work

IIRC, a program called Resource Hacker lets you modify text strings and image files, but anything more advanced would probably require a decompiler.
And you can't decompress an executable with something like Universal Extractor; UPX will compress an application to make it take up less space, but that's something else entirely.

"anything" is a too big word. Sometimes you can do much more advanced mods w/out decompilation. But usually it is needed.
