uTorrent Download Destination Help.

Ok I Followed The Instructions & Have The uTorrent & The settings.dat In The Same Folder On My USB. I Found HOWTO: uTorrent - Portable App and Settings, But Everything I Tried Didn’t Work. I Wanted To Know Is How Can I Make It Work So When I Download Something I Can Have It Go To My USB.

Thanks In Advance

Rob

on the usb by running the installer and choosing the destination to be the drive. then when it shows up to choose a destination for the downloads folder, it will default to your system drive, click browse and choose your flash drive. when it says if you want to have the desktop icons and @#$% say no. whenever you want to launch it just go into the drive and the files and find the .exe file. that should work. if not, do the same with 'bittorrent' instead of utorrent.

I think

he meant that when he goes to another computer and assigns a different drive letter it does not automatically change it's download location. I personally don't think there's something you can do to uTorrent to make it automatically change. I used to have TrueCrypt on my drive which will always assign the same drive letter to my volume which allowed me to use uTorrent without problems. Now I use my little "drive substitution" program that I made.

arqbrulo said, i dont think that it is possible. but if you got his program to work that is great! wonder how it works i overcome that problem by assigning drive names (not letters) and any prog i put on there serches the comp for a drive with that name and it works. 's a ghetto fix!
