A link would be nice. I assume you mean VirtualDub.
I'll take a look.

The feature that makes it most appealing to me is the included Script Editor on the tools menu for writing AviSynth scripts. Instead of having to write them in a text editor and load them up again and again as you edit changes, you can work in the editor and see on-the-fly what your scripted filters and effects look like.
Of course, if you only use the VirtualDub filters and settings, you won't care about the editor, but AviSynth filters are so wonderful for cleaning and fixing video.
VirtualDub itself cannot load dvd vob files / mpeg2 files.
For that, you MUST use VirtualDubMOD or VirtualDubMPEG2.
This last one truly is abandoned, but I think all of its "unique" features are incorporated into VirtualDubMOD.
I only discovered this Application two nights ago, but it looks like a good application.
I would try it, but there's too many others programs I am trying to work on right now to try this one as well.
Notice my overuse of try.

Ye forgot to put the link. My head was all over the place yesterday sorting the portable version of camstudio and vlc to work together.
I've seen VirtualDub Mod Portable somewhere.

Is an abandoned project though. An update hasn't be released in ages.

But it is a pretty mature product, and works just fine.
VdubMOD still gets active support at the VirtualDub forums
