Hi,
I just installed PortableApps Standard on a external HD and when I start it, the icons in the app list do not show up. I tried to refresh the icons, reinstalled the app, redownloaded the app and then installed new copy along with the patch. No matter what I do, the icons don't appear. The icons for the folders and options are there but no icons on the left side menu. Is there something I am not doing right?
The HD I am using is a 20gig notebook drive formatted in FAT32.
Thank you in advance.

Same here with a 20gig USB NTFS Drive. Apps work fine... just no icons.. :s
Weird... just connected the disk at work XP SP2, and the icons are there...??
Not sure what is going on here as they still wouldn't load at home on my laptop.
It may have some conflicts with the Stardock apps I have on my laptop. I will have to try it without those apps installed and see if that does anything...
Is anyone else running Stardock apps along with PortableApps without problems?
Ahhh... I have Stardock too... Won't be home for a few hours but I'll try disabling it when I get in...
Nope... disabled all that stardock stuff and still no icons?!?
Hi,
I am having the same issue. Was a solution found for this problem?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
I finally got my icons to show up. Apparently there was a conflict with Stardock IconPackager and PortableApps on my laptop. I uninstalled IconPackager and ran PortableApps, my icons were there. Hope this helps...
Uninstalled Stardock IconPackager and the icons now appear on the PortableApps menu on my USB thumb drive.
