I like the new (v. 2.2.15) Installer with the ability to install either the english or the multilingual version. But using it I had some ideas to make the language change easier:
What about having the user choosing the exact language at the installation. Or, if I install the multilingual version, have the Lanucher presenting the different languages and delete the ones I don't choose/need. If I find myself needing other languages, I still can reinstall and chose others.
Or make a separate launcher acting as a "language changer"?
What do you think?
But I need to get translations for the installer in all languages under GPL with exceptions and didn't have time to do it. I already have code to update the language string in the app from the installer. This is planned for all multilingual apps once the PortableApps.com Installer setups have been translated.
The constant problem is that there are like 20 different cool things to add to each app's installer or launcher but never enough time to do them all. And we wind up delaying apps trying to get em done. I'm working on getting back to the release early release often mantra.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I just had the ideas and thought I "publish" them.
