Hi
Just installed the PortableApps. Great software!
Now I want to play the game called Elasto Mania (ELMA). It is a simple motorcycle game for Windows. I know it is not open software.
http://elastomania.com/
I have tried to make a folder in my Appsfolder in USB drive. I install the game fine, but when I try to open it, I get this error message:
ELMA.RES file is missing!
When I look in the folder it contains these folders:
Lev
Lgr
Rec
ELMA
Readme + Uninstall
And a file called "Elma.res"
Why can't I play the game when the folder contains the RES file?
I hope you can help me. Thanks
I got the Registered version 1.0.
The first problem I can think of is when you installed it did all of the files install into the same folder, for example C:\program files\Elasto Mania, or did they install into many other folders. The other thing I can think might be the problem is your drive letter. If you installed the program to C:\program files\Elasto Mania then it might be trying to find the thing there. Try installing it directly to your flash-drive. The only other thing I can think of is it may not like not having a non fixed drive letter. For example if you have something in your flash-drive and you create a shortcut to it in the root of your flash drive and then change computers (thereby most likely changing driveletters) the shortcut no longer works. The first thing I would do is install directly to the flash-drive and see what that does.

This is a known bug, called the "Working Directory" bug. You need to upgrade or downgrade to beta 2, as this contains a fix.
