When I delete 2 apps (enough to make it so the scroll bar would disappear), I get errors. 'List index out of bounds (-1)', 'Scrollbar property out of Range'. Also getting 'Cannot change Visable in OnShow or OnHide'.
I can't seem to get AutoRun on start working (w or w/o arguments). The autorun exit works though.
The little SmithTech Icon that should appear over the Start button ends up hiding my Start button. My task bar is stretched so it has 2 levels, not just 1 like default Windows.
Menu seems to have really slowed down in popping up after the icon in the system tray is clicked.
Path to theme appears to have a default name of 'iPhone'. I have a theme I found 'Vista' and the white text of the 'list buttons' don't work on white background. Is there a way to change the text color?
Unlike the icons in the 'button list' that update once you leave Options. The Menu Title doesn't update until its minimized.

It looks fabulous, and is almost functional enough to persuade me to switch from PStart.
The things I am waiting for include:
~Transparency in the menu itself, something my customized version of NeoRame's Zarthwork's theme is dependant upon.
And:
~Ability to change the icon in the header of the menu.
I like the "Edit Folder" context menu you created for the folders, and was wondering if you would make the same thing possible for the applications, where, say, I could right-click on the app and click on "Edit App" to be transported to the applications section of the Advanced Options menu, where the app that I had right-clicked upon would be selected.

For the transparency, its fixed in 1.0.0.35
For the right click, I'll work on it for a future release.

Thanks for making that theme, I ended up making a Gray Version of it for my own personal use, but you are free to use it however you want.

In most cases you can keep your existing smp.xml file.
I've actually been meaning to move it to the data folder so settings stay between updates, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thanks, the archive worked. I haven't tested out any prior menu versions but here's a quick report:
1) Doesn't seem to scan the USB drive for PortableApps.
2) When I attempt to click on the scroll bar I get the error: "List index out of bounds (-16)"
3) Should the contents of the ZIP archive be extracted to the root of the USB drive? It's a bit unclear as to where it should be placed as there is no installer.

It should be extracted to
U:\PortableApps
If you extracted it to the root and all your apps are in U:\PortableApps that is why it didn't appear to scan, it only scans dir on the same level as the exe.
The error is apparently because you have less than 20 apps, I will have to set it so it doesn't show if there are less than 20 apps in the list.

I haven't put together the installer but the scrollbar is fixed.
once extracted the dir structure should be U:\PortableApps\SmithTechPortableMenu\spm.exe

having download issue
I was just waiting for the appscan to start trying yours out. I've been donwloading it just never really used it cause I had to add the apps manually. But now that it can scan, I'll sure be testing it.

Downloaded the source file for 1.0.0.42 but my 7-zip tells me there is a problem with the file.
I have tried a couple of times now. Wanted to look at source to do some learning... Let me know what's up. Thanks, menu looks good will more then likley make it's way onto my 8GB USB flash drive as my menu.

I just tried yout theme (for the first time) and its amasing!
In the folder options window, there is a big white "thing" blocking the buttons in the center. I have a screenshot I could email you if you like.

I want that the menu would start when I plug in the flash drive. I tried to make a simple autorun.inf file but it doesn't show the icon and I get an error: Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item :/

the menu has no control over autorun.inf, windows reads the file and responds to the the contents of the file.
if it is not working there is something wrong with either the file or its contents.
or possibly windows but not likely.

it works fine with PAM, PStart....
spaces are not allowed in the open parameter of an autorun.inf file.
PStart and PortableApps do not have spaces.
Change your folder structure to Apps\SmithTechPortableMenu
Change the path in the autorun.inf to match.
