I saw a privacy tool called TunnelVision that looks interesting.
It appears to be open source, and it's a very small program. from my understanding, it hides areas of the screen where the mouse is not. might be handy for laptops or internet cafe's and such.
the website is http://www.cockos.com/tunnelvision/
That sounds extremely amazing.
I'm checking it out.
Edit: The settings are self contained, I will pafify it tomorrow. I hate people looking over my shoulder, I'll show them! And I don't care what I'm doing, I just hate people watching. Good find millarp, I'm pretty sure I spelt that wrong, oh well.
Edit 2: Haha, you can put a image to make it look like you're doing something else, I love it!
Am I too easily amused?

That's kind of cool, but its kinda hard to tell (even for the user) what they are doing because only a small area around the mouse is visible. An app like Drop Cloth can put a solid color only (at the moment) with any amount of transparency over the desktop and all running applications, but whatever your active window is will still be fully visible

You can change the radius around the mouse, so I'll have it set larger in the default settings.
I had seen Drop Cloth one time, looks cool.

look kinda cool.

Very nice. Especially if you set up an image of open work windows, the set the tunnel to 1%
The website lists hotkeys as a future feature, looking forward to it!
What a funny nasty beast But how is it switched off by default?
There also seem to be a few bugs in it (right-clicking confuses the beast a bit) which should be cleaned up. As it seems it is not developed anymore. Sad - I liked the proposal to implement a function that makes the hole follow the typing on a keyboard. Wouldn't that be a great feature?
It has the ability to use a picture as the background. I took a screenshot of my entire desktop (with no programs open) and saved it as a BMP. I then used this BMP as the background for TunnelVision. It looks like nothing is open but the mouse area reveils what is really open. Try it!
I think it's cool as well. I have a version I'll post soon where the picture path drive letter changes as your drive changes.

that will rock.
The todo things would be, aside from that:
Add hotkeys
Disable by default
I'll try to post it within a couple hours, just for the few people around the forums that want to have it on their drive and in the PAF. As well, I'm not the creator of the program, so i can't add hot-keys, but I will defiantly have it as a bigger tunnel by default, or else it just freaks people out.

It's been a while since I've checked back here... HSP, are you still working on this, or is the project dropped? Just curious
Just lazy. But this week I'm really busy with School, Band, and Work, but I will get it released by the weekend for sure.
