Forum Bug Found on Preformated tag (sorry, apparently not a bug)

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this (maybe general discussion), but long text inside the
tags doesn't make the text follow to the next line when it comes to the end of the page, stretching the page, giving it a ugly style, and messing up the easy reading.

For understanding it better see this thread where the
tags were aplied.

Until this is described as a real bug and fixed, I advice people to use the
tags carefully.

I am sorry, but it seems that this is not really a bug, but a feature. forget this post. Even that way, I think that the text between the
tags should appear in a box with it's own horizontal scrollbars (only if needed).

I don't think this is a bug.

I don't think this is a bug. pre is for preformatted text, so it won't automatically apply word wrap. It instead stretches the page to the width of the text. because of this, all items on the page will be stretched as well, even if the text in those other items is nowhere near as wide

Ok

But it makes the page look ugly, doesn't it? It should only stretch the text, and not the page, I think that text between the
tags should appear in a box with it's own horizontal scrollbars (only if needed), for avoiding the loss of the page quality.
