App Request - Shock 4Way 3D Launcher

Program: Shock 4Way 3D
License: Freeware
Description: To quote the site, "It provides 4 virtual screens"
Website here

Yes, I know it's not open-source, but could anybody make a launcher? The portable version they advertise isn't really portable b/c there is a settings file with an absolute path.

If somebody could make it, that would be fantastic. If not, I'll go try to learn NSIS and do it myself.

Is the absolute path...

The background image? I'd appreciate a quick reply.

Hey Patrick

Sorry it took so long, I had to go home, and I don't have the net there. It is an absolute path, which is the biggest problem.

Well . . .

I just checked by the program by running it off the desktop (and checking it out), then putting it on my flash drive and running it from there. It seems to work fine. I haven't changed the background, just used the defualt, but I would assume that even if it wasn't the default, it should still work

Are you putting the background image with the folder itself?

EDIT It should work, i just took a peak at the ini file and it has no set path, like E:\Documents\Pictures\burble.bmp

Too many tables you can't turn

For the defaults,

But I changed the picture to something else on my drive and it made a definite path.

have you tried putting it in

have you tried putting it in the folder and then editing the folder (x:\portableapps\Shock4Way3d_Portable\back06.bmp) and then editing the ini so it says,

[Shock4Way3D]
Let's just trim some out
Camera=0
BackgroundImage=back06.bmp
Blendding=FALSE
blah blah blah

I did this, it ran fine. I moved it to a new location, it still run fine. It appears that it has to be in that structure, or it won't work. Confirmation?

Yea...

But if someone makes the image path external, then it will create a defined path. But I agree with your choice, it's easier.
