I am using TB from a U3 flash drive.
I know you do not have a TB versiono on U3, it is from yourbrainz.com. The problem I am having is that the file size is massive(77mb). I was considering using PTB 1.5 but how do I install and then upgrade my drive without losing the mail that is currently on U3. Does the profile folder contain this info? I have a second flash drive that I could you also for temp transfer.
What do you suggest?

You can use Portable Thunderbird from any drive, U3 or not. You can even install it on the same drive as the TB for U3 version. To transfer your files from the YourBrainz Thunderbird for U3 to Portable Thunderbird, follow this procedure:

The directories seem to be different on my U3 than you are referring to. I think I will go back and have my PTB just import from outlook 2003. I have not been using TB U3 for very long. So I will only be missing a few emails. Thanks again for your prompt support.

Do you have any guestimate on the release for Thunderbird for U3?
Currently I use Thunderbird packaged by YourBrainz but it has a really annoying bug (only able to start it once per session), just like their FireFox incarnation for U3...
The version of FireFox for U3 you packaged works perfectly, so I'm really looking forward to Thunderbird for U3...
