Developer Features: Blog Roll

I'm experimenting with a quick version of a list of available blogs along with the current blog roll. Please take a peek here:
https://portableapps.com/development/blogs

This isn't the final layout or URL, but I wanted some comments from the devs.

Very long week...

Punctuated by working til 5am. Makes for a slightly scatterbrained John.

Very nice

Although I've had only minimal experience with it, it seems quite nice. I'll definately use it for all of my portable application related news.

I like it very cool. But is

I like it very cool. But is it possible to make the listing, something like this:

Deuce - Blog Title
- snippet from most recent post

Just a thought. The title thing is probably not gonna go, but it doesn't hurt to ask, so can we title them, or will it just be User's blog?

Not by default

This is just Drupal's default blog roll for now. We may enhance it later, though.

...

So what the devil is a "blog roll" anyway? I know what a blog is, but I've never heard of a blog roll. It's a new term for me.

More Details on Recent Entries

Would it be a good idea to include more details as to the blog entries? You could include the the last submission, a preview of what's in the most recent blog post, etc. I'm just brainstorming here Wink .

PortableApps.com/Blog is interesting....

Not without hacking

You can't without hacking the recent blog posts block in Drupal. I'm trying to avoid hacking where I can as you then need to re-hack every time Drupal is updated.

Don't look at /blog yet! hehe. I'll be incorporating that into the blogs hierarchy but as a different URL.
