I often look back in my life, all the experiences I've gone through, the journey. I started with this project first as a user, became a developer, originally a self proclaimed one where I may have... violated some copyrights (which thankfully through some directed emails from John became resolved) and eventually joined the team for a few years.

As last weekend was my "kidneyversary", I wanted to again make a shameless blog post to remind everyone of the importance of being an organ donor.
It is with great sadness that I announce that our financial advisor and business liaison officer, my father, Jack Haller has passed away. I am thankful for his life and thankful that he is no longer suffering. I was lucky enough to get to spend a few extra months with him this year to get to know him and his life before me even better, even against the heartbreaking backdrop of ALS progression. He passed peacefully surrounded by family.
So folks in the community know, I had Covid-19, recovered, and tested positive for antibodies. I couldn't get tested while sick due to the ongoing lack of testing in the United States. My case was better than it could have been: One friend, a triathlete in his late 30s, was in the hospital for 27 days and needed surgery to drain his lungs. My 40 year old neighbor was rushed to the hospital with a collapsed lung and needed two surgeries weekend before last.
