((Hi I am a noob to portable app development, and programming in general I only know a bit about html but then again I AM 11 so I am doing good! I am even making a little dev team at my school!)) anyways lets get on topic...
ok so I want to make some programs into portable apps particularly programming tools but I do not know how! I would really be grateful if someone taught me to do it and dont tell me to google I already have!
thanks!
Start here: https://portableapps.com/development
After that, reverse engineer some scripts in the \Other directory of the apps available for download from this website.
That will keep you busy for a while.

I think what he needs is a newbie level tutorial, and to my knowledge there isn't one.
People ask for this kind of tutorial all the time, if he searches, he'll find tons of info, especially since when he asked this, their was a post very similar on the same page.
A few months ago I had no developing experience whatsoever, all I did was sit on the computer and play solitaire, now I'm becoming great an scripting launchers for programs in NSIS, I'm learning lots of CSS, HTML, and PHP and I used what I could from the development page to get me on my way, I didn't create a post saying "noob alert! noob alert!"
Just to let you him know what can be learned without creating pointless posts titled 'noob alert! noob alert!"
I'm gonna set up an unofficial development wiki for this, until the PAF gets formalised.

I had some ideas about doing something like that too...like a PA FAQ or whatever. Let me know when you setup this wiki and I'll add some things I may have learned in the last two months developing my first portable app launchers.

Although you'll probably see the topic on the tracker, here it is anyway.
