Yeah I know I'm not John Haller. Sorry. I should add I don't even know him. I just visit here.
Interestingly there seems to be no mention of this new update on the front page. I only found out because BetaNews linked to it, and the Firefox Portable page itself shows the new version. So I figured I'd post a topic in case anyone else missed it.

Annnd here's Firefox 2.0.0.9 release notes for good measure:

Sorry you don't get special post formatting, super hyperlinks, bullets, or images in this post like with John's news. I'm sure he'll put up a proper news item with all that good stuff eventually...
PS: Hope you don't mind this post John.
When did this update happen? If it was recently, John is probably on his way on publishing it to the front page. Thanks for the update, though.

I have no idea when it happened. That's the beauty of BetaNews! lol
I think they have one guy doing the file updates, because sometimes updates stop for a couple days and then there's a flood of updates the next day. I don't think they've posted something more than a day or two old, though...
Actually wait, they did add CodeBlocks recently, and it's been two years since it's last update...
Signature automatically removed for being too awesome.
according the the Sourceforge page it was put up on the 16th November, so I expect that John will post a news story soon.
I'd do the news post myself, but I don't know the exact changes. I'm sure he just hasn't got around to it yet.

COU, Calendar of Updates,
had it even earlier. I downloaded it at about 4:45pm yesterday [Friday]. I really wanted to wait for the official announcement by John, but had to go home. I only have a modem at home so I wanted to save bandwidth. Since they linked to the proper page I assumed it was legit but I will not attempt the update till we hear from John. I knew COU was good but I haven't seen them announce a PA.com program before Johns announcement. I wonder how their guy found out. Oh, well, as I said, I will not update till we hear from John.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
You can get email updates for new releases automatically. I'm guessing that's how. I'd personally love to write a tool to convert those emails into new posts here. I might look into that sometime.

Ryan,
Are you saying an email WAS sent out by PA.com?
By the way, I just checked the RSS feed for updated apps [using FFP of course ] and there's still nothing there either.

Whenever you add a release to the SourceForge project, it notifies anyone who subscribes to it.

It hasn't been announced because not all the released languages are posted yet. They will be tomorrow.

Thinkin'.
that means some new languages...

Tomorrow. I'm hoping this won't be another of those ones where we have to wait a few years

I encourage him to try hard to get it done tomorrow, or change the date he just said which I won't mind either.
