additional: Loaded on my USB drive, runs fine using Pstart to launch. I don't know how to tell if it is writing anything to the registry.

Looks like a pretty handy application. It takes some time to figure out the key combinations, but its a nice app. It leaves nothing in the registry, and as far as i can tell, doesn't create any directories in AppData or anything else.
If anybody wants to make it portable, I made a new logo for it already lol.

Edit: According to the project page on sourceforge, its written in C# and Delphi, but when I downloaded the source code, I couldnt find any C# files.
Maybe I missed them, or maybe it was an error in creating the project page.Edit2: Version 5 is written in C# and will only run on Vista. The author will continue to maintain version 4 for other systems.

Some of the key combinations are funky, but what I like about it is that they are the same you use in microsoft word for accented vowels, except now you can use it in any text box in any program.
You say "If anybody wants to make it portable . . ." but how do I proceed?
A room without a book is like a man without a soul.
And post a beta if it's not too hard.
I'll try to beat u to it.
Never curse the alligator till you done cross the bridge.
I have some other ones I'd rather work on, so feel free to go ahead on this one if you're interested, and let me know if you need any help.

Installed smoothly. Seems to work just fine. Nice Icons in PStart.
Thank you so much for creating a portable installation.
I'll continue to test but so far everything seems to work just fine--same quickkeys as Microsoft Word for accented characters. Also allows for Macros.

Nice to hear but the Macros don't work in vista i will have to make the vista version portable.

I don't have Vista, but I think that uses a different version of the program. You need Version 5 don't you?

Version 5 is needs .NET and therefore can't be made portable

I checked that out already thats why you did not see Version 5 out.
How unfortunate. The Xp version works on vista except for the macros.
