Portable Firefox and Orbit Downloader

Hello all,

first of all I would like to thank you for this great app (Portable Firefox)!

I've gotten everything to work besides Orbit Downloader. This includes copying the Quicktime dll files etc. etc.

Now the problem:
Whenever I click on a download link, after I installed Orbit Downloader, I don't get the option to download with Orbit. Orbit Downloader doesn't appear in the context menu either.

However, with the regular Firefox, everyting works.

Is there anything I can do to get Orbit Downloader to work with Portable Firefox?

Thanks,
Regve

Ask there

You'd need to ask the orbit downloader folks. Most likely, their software only works with a locally installed copy of Firefox.

Closed Source

It's a closed source product, so they're the only ones that can help you with it. If they aren't helping you, you're simply out of luck. I'd suggest using something else.

Yes there is a way!

I came across this post because I was having the same problem. I'm happy to report that I found a very simple solution that works flawlessly. See my post:
