WinWGet is a fantastic download manager. It uses the very popular wget downloader as a back end. WinWGet makes it very easy to configure downloads.
Download:
Download WinWGet Portable 0.20 Development Test 1
Notes:
WinWGet was left a beta a while ago, and I haven't seen any forks, but it's still quite stable.
Bug: I can't download it without a link.

Why don't you just put it on MediaFire for now until you get your download to work.

Nice, nice. I can't decide if this or Wackget portable is better- I think this one is faster though.
Bugs:
Doesn't always popup a dialog box when you copy the shortcut-probably a program itself problem, but still
I haven't checked the registiry, mostly because, A. I'm to lazy, and b, I don't have regshot on my flash right now.
I do like it. Good job.

I believe someone tried that and noted it in the WackGet thread, they said it didn't work.
It doesn't...

Updated the program to a 'Development Test' release.
I like using Downthemall with firefox, but this is really nice to have this when using K-meleon. Until K-meleon makes a better download dialog I'm going to keep using Winwget.
Seems to work fine for me on XP SP2. The only problem is that there doesn't seem to be much interest in it (probably because there are so many firefox users that use downthemall) and the app hasn't been updated in a while.
I appreciate you putting this one out, Patrick, even if it only stays in beta.
Glad you're enjoying it. DownThemAll! certainly is awesome, but yeah, this one's pretty cool as well.
Patrick is this one pre-release ready?

I know it's in full functioning order, and I don't think it's multilingual. Let me check it out, see what needs to be updated, and I'll send you an email 'bout this an a couple other splashes (lost one. :P).
Works for me - XP Pro SP3

I am glad to see this project revived!
Actually just tried a download with this but cant find output. Set output folder to a specific directory but still cant find?
EDIT: Sorry I rescind that as I just tried again and worked very well. Thanks for the app : )

Would you prefer I set the default download directory to your drive, your drives document folder (if it exists, if not, then drive), or leave it blank? Keep it mind downloading to your flash will put some extra wear on it.
Is it possible to set it during the installation or first run? I use a portable hard drive and have a temporary storage folder for downloads etc so if could set this so that what ever drive letter the portable was under it would recognize it that would be great but for the flash users they'd probably prefer to set it elsewhere.

I don't wanna add that extra work. Prefer to have just a standard location (or none).
Does the program prompt if you haven't set one? If so, leave it blank.

It will download to the WinWGetPortable directory, which seems even more confusing than having it say download to the root of the drive. No prompt.
Default it to root I suppose. We're not gonna prompt people (one more thing to translate).

I would prefer if it was set to the drive itself. I know it adds wear to the drive but I would probably forget to move the download off of the hard drive and onto my own.

Sorry dont know squat about the registry but post these so as to try and be somewhat helpful. Can I suggest maybe devs leave an email address for Regshots to be sent to and other longer feedback?

Just saw from Zach Hudock and Oliver K posts saying to post regshots within
