Hello,
I have installed Thunderbird on the flash disk using Ceedo software. I could run it only few times without any problem but now I am unable to even run TB and got this message:
XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: chrome://messenger/content/messenger.xul
Line Number 138, Column 9:
--------^
Could anyone of help me ? I even havent found the file messenger.xul on my harddisk...I am not sure if this could be because of any other program installed or why Sad Im using TB, FF 2.0.0.9 portable version.
Thx a lot
Use of software within the proprietary Ceedo environment is not supported.
These are portable apps. They don't require any oddball closed launch menus or environments to run. You can run them directly or within the open source PortableApps.com Platform/Suite.

i understand... but ceedo offers mozilla products like a fully functional software so I should be able to run mozilla under Ceedo...Anyway, if I understand well, your advice is to install PortableApps Suite and run TB trough it, right ?
The PortableApps Menu/Suite/Platform is not required to run TBP. If you just want TBP you can run it as a stand alone app.
"...so I should be able to run mozilla under Ceedo..."
"Should" is one of the most interesting words in the English language
If you really want to use TB on Ceedo you could trying installing the Standard/Non Portable version instead of TBP
[If I misread your post and that is what you tried, forget the above]

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
why dont you just install TBP on you flash drive... nothing else is required
Please search before posting. ~Thanks
Didn't I just say that

The individual applications Ceedo offers may work, but they're not supported by PortableApps.com or Mozilla, so you'd be on your own if any issues arise.
The software here is a different portable platform than Ceedo. Unlike Ceedo, all the apps here are optimized for use on portable devices, especially flash drives (special settings to minimize writes, compressed where possible, etc). As mentioned by Tim, you don't even necessarily need to use the PortableApps.com Menu as Thunderbird Portable and the other apps work standalone as well.

But that's not our problem. The way I see it, you're downloading Thunderbird from Mozilla.com, which would be Mozilla's support you'd want to ask. However, as you're running it from Ceedo, you'll need to ask over at their forums (wherever they may be).
Also, John was advising that you download Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition from this site and install it independently from Ceedo.

Ceedo makes available an older standard Thunderbird installer packaged with Ceedo-specific configuration stuff. As such, I'm quite sure that Mozilla won't support it. And, since it's a proprietary commercial platform, we don't support it either.
But,yes, he can give Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition a try. It works on any flash drive and doesn't require buying any software.

ok, I understand the problem now... thanks for your advice
Didn't realise that. Cheers.
